Program Overview : PER-002 — European AI Governance Architecture

PER-002 examines the transformation of AI governance in Europe through the development of regulatory frameworks, institutional architectures, and oversight systems.

The program focuses on how policymakers and regulatory authorities are designing governance foundations for artificial intelligence, moving from fragmented approaches toward more standardized, coordinated, and risk-based regulatory structures.

Through continuous observation of initiatives such as the European Union AI Act, the European AI Office, and emerging governance mechanisms, PER-002 explores how regulatory architecture influences innovation, accountability, risk management, public trust, and institutional decision-making across the European AI ecosystem.
